The appreciation to the art of cooking has never been as appreciated as with the ancient Indian Royalty. The present Indian cuisine is reaping the benefits of the age-old cooking traditions that were inspired by a special man. Behram Gur, a legendary king who’s love for dining was as great as his passion for the maiden was a keen fan of the Indian kitchen. Unfortunately we cannot offer you all the privileges of the royalties but we can cater for your royal dining needs. Indian Palace has lived to be 20 years old. Indian Palace was opened in 1987, independently by an Indian Business Man, R.K Bhatnager (Raju). On his trip to Scheveningen he decided to open an Indian Restaurant and introduce Indian Cuisine to the Dutch. India Palace was one of the pioneers is getting the Dutch familiar with Indian cuisine. Raju Bhatnagar was the Royal Kitchen Manager for the Sultanate of Oman until 1987. He was responsible for the management, planning, and co-ordination of 24 kitchens. He has catered to royal events for up to 5000 people. He came to the Netherlands not only to introduce Asian cuisine but also to be innovative and create dishes that take us back to the ancient times. We offer a wide range of authentic Tandoori, Curry, Vegetarian and Sea Food delicacies. We also offer a vegetarian, non-vegetarian and children’s menu. The dishes range from all region of Indian and are fused with Oriental, Continental and Middle-Eastern flavours and influences. For each dish there is a marched wine and the staff will be more than willing to help you make your choice. India palace has a relaxed ambiance visit. Soft classical music can be heard in the background, allowing you to enjoy your night. We also cater for large business events, wedding and engagement parties and smaller events. We can seat approximately 250 people in the restaurant. Royalty, celebrities and officials have visited Indian Palace. Prince Claus, Prince Willem Alexander, and the formed Prime Minister of Indian and many Dutch and western celebrities have dined at the restaurant and that you can experience the palatial dining style.
